SEERS MUST BECOME TAKERS

King David

SEERS MUST BECOME TAKERS

There is a saying I love, and, its this, ‘if you can see it then you were called and have authority to access it and manifest it!’

Bill Gates dropped out of Harvard his 2nd year because he saw a technology in the future, and he thought  if he could see it, then obviously the idea was already accessible and anyone else could see it also.

If a secular entrepreneur can see the future, then how much more can prophetic seers? No, not just those with a prophetic gift on their life, but a church, a Body with a prophetic culture!

Jesus made this promise, “when the Spirit of truth comes, He will lead you into all truth, and He will SHOW you things to come,” John 16 v 13. We have an amazing advantage in this day and season we have entered and that is that the ability to not only see the future but also bring it into today is our unique advantage.

If we look at David we can see some interesting themes running through his life. We all know the story of David killing the giant but sometimes we need to look beyond we have heard and dig deeper and find what is unusual and not heard so as to grow more!

I have been told so many times, ‘Amanda, just preach the basics,’ and yes that is great but I know people are wanting to know more in God, they want to know deeper and it is often the ‘there but not seen’ that has treasures within the lines!

David if we look was an interesting man with an interesting gift mix.

17 times in the New Testament Jesus was called the ‘Son of David’. David was promised that one of his offspring would rule forever. Jesus was called the “Son of David” while he was here on the earth. He was born in David’s city, Bethlehem. The gospel of Matthew records that various people, on six different occasions, acknowledged Jesus as the Son of David. This is a messianic title. Jesus never denied that he was the Son of David. In fact, on Palm Sunday he received the praise and worship of the people as Jesus, as they cried ‘ Blessed be the King of Israel’. Jesus came as King, the Son of David, who was also king!

As He is so are we on the earth. As David was a picture of Jesus, and we are now a copy of Jesus then we need to look at David, the shepherd, warrior, king!

David wasn’t just passionate about spirituality. David wasn’t just trying to find the next revival meeting to go to and get blessed. He was also killing Philistines.

He overlapped his passions – passion for God’s presence with his need to take territory.

Jesus said the same thing, ‘ go and take land!’ Occupy till He comes!

He went to the tabernacle and that is where he got strategies on how to take out Philistines and occupy their land.

Have you ever thought about his life….. Worship. Kill. Worship. Kill.

Therefore his worship, God’s presence, and his pressing in wasn’t just to get more anointed so that God would go do something – Worship gave him access to an agenda, a strategy, and an authority to administrate more territory.

Remember he was a king, so he was able to administrate territory under the Sovereign rule and dominion of the King of Kings.

Some say to even acknowledge we are kings brings us into pride! I find this strange, David was humble, and even in sin was teachable in his humility to those he was accountable to but he never had an issue with being proud because he was a king!

So what made David different and how was he able to get away with what other people were killed for?

If you look beyond the old Sunday school story you find a nugget. David reached into our dispensation of grace and access to the throne of God and pulled it into his day.

Remember, his generation had a protocol for access to the Ark of the Covenant, the throne of God. They had the sacrifice with the blood of an animal, and then it was only the high priest with access to the Ark.

David was an ardent worshipper, and he said he longed for God’s presence. Then one day He sees our generation – with free access to the throne of grace – and he says, “I want that”.

He reached into our day, time travelled by permission, and pulled on grace, a grace that had not been released from Heaven yet, so as to approach the throne of God back in his own era.

Mary the Mother of Jesus was at a wedding and she found out they had run out of wine. Aside from the cultural issues that Jesus was breaking, firstly Mary was the odd ball, she had fallen pregnant out of wedlock and when asked who the Father was, it was God. She had the baby on the run in stable full of animals. To say she was shunned was an understatement. So in His first miracle, Jesus proves a cultural point. Mary says, ‘whatever my Son tells you do, do it.’ Big statement, how did she know Jesus could turn water into wine? Jesus says, ‘Woman, its not my time yet.’ Hang on, isn’t Jesus the Son of God, doesn’t the bible say that Time is in His hand, doesn’t He know time better than anyone as He created it? Not only that He doesn’t call her Mother but Woman, why?

water into wine

In the Garden, the first Adam had been put to sleep and a beautiful specimen was taken from his side. He awoke and prophesied over her, ‘ you are WOMAN,’ you are a creation that is able to birth generational destiny into the earth, you can sow seed for the generations to come. Then they fell and a fallen Adam renames her, you are called Eve.’ Eve means the dividing point in humanity, one who will always have issues with her body (in Hebrew)

On the Cross, a Roman soldier pierced the side of Jesus, the Second Adam and out came blood and water, the symbol of birthing. He renamed her bride, she was no longer, Woman, or Eve but now Ecclesia, the ONE governing Body of Christ.

The name ‘Mother,’ in Hebrew is the word Eve; Jesus was restoring the purpose of woman in His first miracle. He calls his mother, WOMAN

When woman are restored their purpose and ability becomes clear. Mary saw beyond a wedding, she saw her Sons future and ability and pulled it, beyond time, into her NOW!!!

Here’s the secret:

If you can see it, you have access to it.

You can’t see the kingdom of God unless the Holy Spirit shows it to you. David was a Seer. The church needs to be filled with seers.  It’s people who SEE the future the way God really wants it to be manifested on earth, and then PULL it into their dispensation now. David’s key was: The ability to unlock the future and bring it into the present.

Church we need seers, like Mary, like David, who see the ‘will of God for His Bride’ and pull it beyond time into the present!
