The world has changed we are no longer in the age of snail mail etc, we are in the age of technology and information. Even money is information and technology now, it has transformed from just being paper into being technology.
This is the age of constant connection. People connect instantly now. Gone are the days when you isolate yourself in a community where only those in your sphere have access.In today’s economy, if you don’t connect with your audience and have relationship with them you will be flat lined before you know what happened. Not to mention, if YOU don’t connect with your ideal clients and customers……. Someone else will gladly do it! We must get out of ‘old school thinking’ where our connection is what we did 10 years ago, because people want connection today but in a different arena.
Facebook and twitter have proven this… Facebook has hit the 1 Billion user mark and twitter has over 175 Million users.
Lady Gaga has proven this with 8 MILLION Twitter followers and 28 MILLION fans on her Facebook page!
President Obama made his way INTO the Whitehouse because he answered the people and listened to what they wanted! They cried, “CHANGE!” and he gave it to them.
Oprah listens to her audience, so much so that she literally re-invented her TV presence and got her own network!
Are YOU listening to yours?
We must find our audience, they don’t just find us. If we don’t have a constant Social Media presence, don’t like the internet etc we are not going to make it in this new world!!
Its like saying I don’t like keyboards I am still going to use a typewriter, you will have difficulty because no one sells the ribbon anymore or services that old model. You and I have to make the realistic switch in our heads, business is not done like it used to 10 years ago, times have change, Interruptive Innovation change the world and if I don’t have have an Interruptive encounter for my business then it will literally die.
It’s time to make a connection with your audience. It is time to get over our own stuff and release to the world what God Himself has designed each of us to carry.
Will you continue to do business the same old way, doing the same old things, believing that by some stroke of luck or a move of God things will change? Or will you….
Move where the people are.
Go where their hearts are, listen to their pains and make it your business, to care!
The new era has arisen. You my friends, must decide where you want to put your tent pegs down.
We must enlarge and unfortunately most of us mistake the fact that we have to expand with the truth that we are not ready yet, just like the spies who came back to Joshua did. The fact was there were giants the truth was they needed to expand their thinking to embrace the fact that they needed to attack a new economy and populace in the land they needed to take.
The calling and greatness of us all is expanding under the pressure of contradiction ( the inability to think we can keep up with this new era) in order for us to become great.
Decide today, I may not understand but I am lengthening the tent pegs, expanding my thinking and because I want wealth I will NOT stay as I am but will connect to the world in the method that is used today not yesterday
